Wärtsilä technology group has announced that it is moving its valve manufacturing operations to larger facilities in the Humber Enterprise Park in Brough, England.

Expecting to complete the relocation by the end of this year, the company said the new location will enable state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with significant space for engineering, development and production even as the business records tremendous success.

“The new facility gives us a blank canvas to establish a state-of-the-art, highly flexible, and modular manufacturing footprint. Most importantly, it provides us with the opportunity to create even greater value for our customers through enhanced operational excellence,” says Timo Koponen, Vice President, Flow & Gas Solutions, Wärtsilä Marine Solutions.

The new facilities located in Brough, England measures 5570 m2 (60,000 ft2).

Wärtsilä Valves encompasses three long established brands; Shipham, Robert Cort, and John Mills with a history dating back more than 200 years. The company has been a regular supplier to the British Royal Navy and Ministry of Defence since the 1930s.
