Turkish Coast Guard has informed that divers were able to find bodies of two crew members of the sunken cargo ship Bilal Bal from the ship wreck which lies in a water depth of 88 meters on 3 November.
General cargo ship, Bilal Bal crewed by ten Turkish Turkish seafarers, sank at about seven nautical miles off the coast of Istanbul on November 1.
Having found two bodies, the search and rescue mission continues for the remaining eight seafarers who were also reported missing after the incident.
The cause of the sinking is still unknown.
At the time of the incident, the vessel was carrying a cargo of cast iron from Turkey’s port of Gemlik to the port of Ereğli.
